BUMPDATE: Week 33

Husband Notes: "your belly button is prolapsing..."
............................................................

Due date: February 11, 2019

How far along: 33 weeks; baby has developed his or her own immune system

Size of baby: As big as celery

Gender: Baby GIRL!

Total weight gain: 32 lbs.

Symptoms: The fatigue is back! Thanks a lot, third trimester.

Physical changes: My belly button is still an innie. Belly is feeling extra itchy this week.

Labor signs: Braxton-Hicks contractions felt stronger this week

Stretch marks: None

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes: Belly Bandit's 2-in-1 belly wrap has been giving me LIFE! It takes a lot of the pressure off my pelvic girdle and is providing much needed support and comfort. Better yet, it can be used postpartum to bring the hips back in.

Diet: I swear I've gained another 10 lbs just from all the Christmas cookies consumed.

Food cravings:

        • Citrus fruits and tropical fruits
        • Apples
        • Fish
        • Spicy foods (Takis Fuego is my jam right now)
        • Cakes and cookies
        • Bread

Food aversions: Pork? It's the only thing that doesn't sound appetizing.

Exercise: Who has time to exercise during the holidays?

Sleep: Sleep has been pretty good this week. I've learned that coffee only makes it worse for me, so sticking to tea and coke during desperate times.

Miss anything in particular: Sleeping without a bowling ball on me.

Mood: Happy to have a 4-day weekend all to myself. Let the nesting begin!

Looking forward to: Finally putting the crib together!

Worst moment this week: Not getting to go bowling with my friends, because I felt so tired and large.

Best moment this week: Spending time with friends and family. It was exhausting, but it was nice getting to enjoy the holidays before the little one arrives.

BUMPDATE: Week 32

Husband Notes: "the baby's movements creep me out!"
............................................................

Due date: February 11, 2019

How far along: 32 weeks; baby's skin is getting smoother and the brain is getting wrinklier

Size of baby: As big as a squash

Gender: Baby GIRL!

Total weight gain: 31 lbs.

Symptoms: Headaches are still present this week. Digestion issues are under control for now. General discomfort is just a part of life now.

Physical changes: Skin feeling dry...not sure if it's winter-related or pregnancy-related. My belly button is still an innie.

Labor signs: Feeling Braxton-Hicks contractions every day

Stretch marks: None

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes: Still doing fine without maternity shirts...but if this belly gets bigger...

Diet: Always hungry and never satiated. Pregnancy problems. Sigh.

Food cravings:
        • Honey graham crackers - been eating these like crazy!

        • Citrus fruits and tropical fruits
        • Milk
        • Spicy foods - buffalo sauce!
        • Chocolate
        • Popcorn

Food aversions: Pork? It's the only thing that doesn't sound appetizing.

Exercise: We've been busy, so I haven't walked much this week. I've been doing prenatal yoga at home and it's really helping my lower back issues.

Sleep: Sleep has been AWFUL this week. I've been trying to combat my fatigue by incorporating coffee into my diet, but it seems to be making my sleep worse.

Miss anything in particular: Sleeping without a bowling ball on me.

Mood: Up and down. The exhaustion is making me cranky.

Looking forward to:

Worst moment this week:

Best moment this week: Celebrating Evan's birthday!

BUMPDATE: Week 31

Husband Notes: "I love my walrus...why is there no walrus emoji?"
............................................................

Size of baby: As big as a zucchini

Gender: Baby GIRL!

Total weight gain: 29 lbs.

Symptoms: Headaches are still present this week. Digestion issues are under control for now. General discomfort is just a part of life now.

Physical changes: Skin feeling dry...not sure if it's winter-related or pregnancy-related. My belly button is STILL an innie. I don't think it'll "pop".

Labor signs: Feeling Braxton-Hicks contractions every day

Stretch marks: None

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes: Still doing fine without maternity shirts...but if this belly gets bigger...

Diet: Always hungry and never satiated. Pregnancy problems. Sigh.

Food cravings:

Sleep: I'm consistently waking up at 4:30AM...not sure why. I don't need to use the restroom or anything. I guess my body is just done sleeping at that time.

Miss anything in particular:

Mood: I've been a little depressed this week. I keep having anxiety about how different my life will be. I'm worried about not being able to devote as much time to other people. Now that we know it's a baby girl, I feel like I have this new responsibility to guide her and be an example for her.

Looking forward to: Catching up on sleep. Long week of work and OB appointments.

Worst moment this week:

Best moment this week: Celebrating Evan's birthday!

BUMPDATE: Week 30

Husband Notes"I just noticed your belly button...it looks...weird."
............................................................

Due date: February 11, 2019

How far along: 30 weeks; baby's skin is getting smoother and the brain is getting wrinklier

Size of baby: As big as a zucchini

Gender: Baby GIRL!

Total weight gain: 28 lbs.

Symptoms: The third trimester is taking over...I'm tired again!

Physical changes: My linea negra is getting darker and more noticeable! It looks so weird!

Labor signs: Feeling Braxton-Hicks contractions every day

Stretch marks: None

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes: Still doing fine without maternity shirts...but if this belly gets bigger...

Diet: Always hungry and never satiated. Pregnancy problems. Sigh.

Food cravings:
        • Honey graham crackers - been eating these like crazy!

        • Citrus fruits and tropical fruits
        • Milk
        • Spicy foods - buffalo sauce!
        • Chocolate
        • Popcorn

Food aversions: Pork? It's the only thing that doesn't sound appetizing.

Exercise: We've been busy, so I haven't walked much this week. I've been doing prenatal yoga at home and it's really helping my lower back issues.

Sleep: I'm consistently waking up at 4AM...not sure why. I don't need to use the restroom or anything. I guess my body is just done sleeping at that time.

Miss anything in particular: Having energy. I feel like I'm slowing down again.

Also looking forward to catching up with friends and family for the rest of the month.

Worst moment this week: We painted the master bedroom, nursery, and kitchen walls white last weekend and the paint looks BLUE. The color we chose was White Moderne by Behr. It had yellow tones to it, but it also had black in it as well...which killed the creamy tones of the paint color. I'm super bummed about it, but there's not much we can do. We tried to get the color adjusted by adding more bright yellow, but it still looks off. Sad.

Best moment this week: Finding Maddie! Evan locked her in the basement before he left and I was frantically looking for her for a good 10-15 minutes.

December 1, 2018

BUMPDATE: Week 29

Husband Notes: "I was right! ...and I'm going to hate my life in about 15-18 years" (He guessed that it would be a girl...he's always right, ugh)
............................................................

Due date: February 11, 2019

How far along: 29 weeks; baby has fat storage now and has more energy because of it!

Size of baby: As big as an acorn squash

Gender: Baby GIRL!

Total weight gain: 27 lbs.

Symptoms: Headaches and pelvic pains have been really awful this week. The heartburn and indigestion is getting worse and disrupting my sleep.

Physical changes: Okay, I thought my belly was out...but it's really out now! Still have an innie!

Labor signs: Feeling Braxton-Hicks contractions at least two to three times a day.

Stretch marks: None

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes: Still doing fine without maternity shirts...but if this belly gets bigger...

Diet: Always hungry and never satiated. Pregnancy problems. Sigh.

Food cravings:
        • Honey graham crackers

        • Cereal
        • Milk
        • Spicy foods - buffalo sauce!
        • Chocolate
        • All fruits (pineapples, apples, grapefruit, oranges)
        • Popcorn

Food aversions: No major aversions.

Exercise: We've been busy, so I haven't walked much this week. I've been doing prenatal yoga at home and it's really helping my lower back issues.

Sleep: My quality of sleep has definitely gone down...

Miss anything in particular: My friends. Intimate events, like our baby shower and gender reveal, reminded me of all the wonderful people I've met throughout my life and sometimes I wish I could have more time with them. Or I wish we could go back in time and relive old memories.

Mood: Still feeling loved and happy. Evan's mom threw us a super cute baby shower last weekend and we got so many useful items for our nursery. Thank you again everyone!

Looking forward to: Hanging out with Daniel this weekend!

Worst moment this week: Getting my blood drawn again. I'm having anxiety about passing the glucose screening.

Best moment this week: Painting our master bedroom and "nursery"...so happy to get rid of the yellow walls! But still sucks that it's not really the right color.
