BUMPDATE: Week 15



Due date: February 11, 2019

How far along: 15 weeks; baby's legs are supposedly growing this week

Size of baby: As big as a navel orange

Gender: Don’t know yet! 

Total weight gain: 7 lbs

Symptoms: Headache, nausea, indigestion

Labor signs: None

Stretch marks: None

Belly and belly button: Midsection till looks bloated, but no bump yet

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes: Who makes the best belly band? I can't seem to find one that I like. Maybe I just need to be more pregnant. Also, maternity jeans shopping is the ABSOLUTE worst. Why do they all give you a pancake butt??

Diet:  I feel like I'm constantly hungry and constantly eating. I still love eating fruit and veggies. Really enjoying pasta right now. 


Food cravings:
        • OJ (a gallon a week)
        • Bloody Mary mix or V8

        • Korean food
        • Green beans
        • All the fruits (especially apples and berries)

Food aversions: Ate some rotisserie chicken and didn't want to vomit so yay! Getting more of my appetite back and not totally hating meat. The smell of pork still makes me a bit queasy though.


Exercise: Struggling in the gym, but managed to get through my workouts.

Sleep: I feel like it's getting worse. My dreams have been super vivid and I need to get up to pee all the time.

Miss anything in particular: Beer and sushi.

Mood: I've been so up and down lately...probably due to hormones fluctuating.

Looking forward to: Our next Ob/Gyn appointment - August 29th!


Worst moment this week: Having to deal with my hit and run issue and trying to find a decent autobody shop in St. Louis.

Best moment this week: Getting out test results back and feeling relieved that the baby is healthy and normal.

BUMPDATE: Week 14


Due date: February 11, 2019

How far along: 
14 weeks; baby has doubled in weight since last week


Size of baby: As big as peach

Gender: Don’t know yet! 

Total weight gain: 7 lbs

Symptoms: 
Headaches and nausea

Labor signs: None

Stretch marks: None

Belly and belly button: Bloat that comes and goes...fake bump alert!

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes: Bought some maternity clothes from ASOS, but they're HUGE. Is that how big I'm going to get? ahh!

Diet: 
I still feel like I’m eating a lot of fruit and veggies, but I’m trying to eat a little bit of everything else.  


Food cravings:
        • OJ (a gallon a week)
        • Mint chocolate ice cream

        • Korean food
        • Pizza
        • Apples


Food aversions: I need chicken to not exist right now...

Exercise: Feeling more energetic. Trying to workout 3 times a week for 1 hour. Incorporating more yoga and breathing exercises. 

Sleep: Still g
etting up 4:30am every night to pee and not being able to fall back asleep.

Miss anything in particular: 
It continues to be a hot summer and all I want is an ice cold beer! I’m craving Boulevard’s Ginger Lemon Radler or Shock Top’s Lemon Shandy. And also anything fruited by Side Project.  


Mood: Happy but the nausea feels worse and it's super aggravating

Looking forward to: Having a weekend with nothing to do!

Worst moment this week: Wondering and waiting for our blood test results.

Best moment this week: 
When the mint chocolate chip ice cream hit my lips…I don’t even like mint chocolate ice cream, but I had a real hankering for it!

BUMPDATE: Week 13


Due date: February 11, 2019

How far along: 
13 weeks; baby’s head is 1/3 the size of its body

Size of baby: As big as lemon

Gender: Don’t know yet! 

Total weight gain: 7 lbs

Symptoms: 
Headaches and nausea; uterus growth causing round ligament pain

Labor signs: None

Stretch marks: None

Belly and belly button: Looks super bloated, but no bump

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes: 
Researching…bought some stretchy ponte pants and jeans from Target. Need to test them out.

Diet:  
I feel like I’m eating a lot of fruit and veggies, but I’m trying to eat a little bit of everything else. 

Food cravings:
        • OJ (a gallon a week)
        • Cheese quesadillas

        • Fruit (grapes, oranges, pineapples)
        • Green beans
        • All the fruits (especially apples and berries)

Food aversions: I can't even look at meat right now. Especially chicken.


Exercise: Still running but will probably stop after this week. I just can't catch my breath. 

Sleep: 
Not great…getting up 4:30am every night to pee and then I have a hard time falling back to sleep

Miss anything in particular: 
Beer! I love day drinking in the summer and summer beer releases are my favorite…

Mood: Generally pretty happy but the constant fatigue really gets me down sometimes.

Looking forward to: The second trimester and getting more energy...hopefully!

Worst moment this week: Getting more blood drawn to test for Down syndrome.

Best moment this week: 
Going to the PGA tournament and not needing to go pee once!

BUMPDATE: Weeks 9-12

How far along: 12 weeks (debatable; Evan and I think it's more like 10 or 11 weeks)

Size of baby: As big as plum; 1:1 head to body ratio

Gender: Unknown

Total weight gain: 5 lbs

Symptoms: Major fatigue and nausea


Labor signs: None

Stretch marks: None

Belly and belly button: Feeling super bloated still

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes: N/A

Diet: I'm eating way more than normal and craving fruit like crazy.


Food cravings:

        • OJ (a gallon a week)

        • French fries
        • ALL the fruit (apples and bananas all day)

Food aversions: CHICKEN. OMG.

Exercise: I can't breath! Workouts have been challenging.

Sleep: The fr
equent urination is continues to interrupt my sleep.

Miss anything in particular: Beer!


Mood: Annoyed that I'm tired ALL THE TIME.

Looking forward to: Cooler weather...it has been so hot lately.

Worst moment this week: Getting out of bed every morning haha

Best moment this week: 
Having our
 first obstetrician appointment!
