        • Soups and stews
        • Spicy foods

        • Pizza

Food aversions: No major aversions.

Sleep: Sleep has been okay. Lots of vivid dreams. Waking up a lot in the middle of the night.

Miss anything in particular: My 20s. Haha. I feel like we've been 'planning for the future' since we bought a house and I haven't taken a breath since then. I miss having less responsibility and not having to think so much about the future.

Mood: Happy but tired.

Looking forward to: Our 1-month checkup next Tuesday

Worst moment this week: Stressing myself out about not having enough Halloween candy, but it rained (poured!) and we only got 5 kids...

BUMPDATE: Week 24

Husband Notes: "You can't fully bend over at times, so I have to get things for you."
................................................................

Due date: February 11, 2019

How far along: 24 weeks; baby is developing a sleep and wake cycle

Size of baby: As big as a cantaloupe

Gender: We will be revealing the gender at our baby shower!

Total weight gain: 21 lbs

Symptoms: Heart burn, indigestion, leg cramps

Physical changes: Still an innie, but a shallow innie!

Labor signs: Feeling Braxton-Hicks contractions? My uterus just randomly tightens up from time to time.

Stretch marks: None

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes: I'm really satisfied with my new pair of Target maternity jeans. They fit quite well and give me more outfit options. I'm no longer bound to wearing my favorite black pants every day.

Diet: Eating less but more often is helping me manage my indigestion

Food cravings:
        • Sour anything!

        • Apple
        • Banana peppers
        • Spicy foods
        • Tomatoes in any form...especially grape tomatoes
        • CARBS - pasta, bread, pizza

Food aversions: No major aversions.

Miss anything in particular: Working out. All I can do is walk these days.

Mood: Happy! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays!

Looking forward to: Being Smooshi and Phil Demers for Halloween this year!

Worst moment this week: Feeling contractions for the first time...and not being sure what to think. It freaked me out, for sure.

October 20, 2018

BUMPDATE: Week 23

Husband Notes: "You got stuck in bed...embarrassing."
................................................................

Due date: February 11, 2019

How far along: 23 weeks; baby's face is fully formed

Size of baby: As big as a grapefruit

Gender: We will be revealing the gender at our baby shower!

Total weight gain: 20 lbs

Symptoms: Heart burn, indigestion, leg cramps. The nausea actually came back this week, and I'm wondering why. Maybe it's the lack of orange juice?

Physical changes: I can see and feel my innie belly button starting to get shallower. I'm sure it'll become an outie in a few more weeks.

Labor signs: None

Stretch marks: None

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes: I finally got my Target order and the two pair of jeans I ordered actually fit quite well. I've come to terms with the fact that all maternity jeans are going to give me a pancake butt due to the stretchy fabric and construction. Of course, the $150-200 ones are super flattering and make my butt look 10 years younger, but I'm not willing to pay that much for jeans that I'll be wearing for like 3-4 months.

Diet: The digestive issues are driving me crazy, but I'm getting better at reducing my portion sizes and also, eating more often.

Food cravings:
        • Sour candy

        • Apples - especially sour green apples (w/ caramel when given the option)
        • Banana peppers
        • Spicy foods
        • Tomatoes in any form...especially grape tomatoes
        • CARBS - pasta, bread, pizza

Food aversions: No major aversions.

Exercise: Discovered the incline trainer at our gym. It provides such a great low-impact workout!

Sleep: I'm rolling my eyes right now. Sleep has been okay. My vivid pregnancy dreams keep waking up at 3am!

Miss anything in particular: I miss feeling 100%. I miss my body. Everything is morphing. I'm trying so hard to enjoy my pregnancy, but every time I look in the mirror, I feel like I don't recognize myself.

Mood: It was a relatively relaxed work week and Friday approached quickly. I'm happy overall and glad to be enjoying my weekend.

Looking forward to: Hanging out with Evan's mom this weekend!

Worst moment this week: Dreaming about growing flowers on my back, and how I thought pulling them off would be cool. Well, it wasn't cool, and it exposed deep tissue on my back due to how far down they were rooted. It was really gross, and I woke up immediately...and yes, I felt my back to make sure there was nothing growing. I had that dream twice this week. Like whyyyy?!

Best moment this week: Me talking about how all the budget-friendly maternity jeans I've tried give me a pancake butt, and Evan telling me that he loves pancakes. What a sweet husband I have. And what an embarrassing wife I am to be sharing this exchange.

BUMPDATE: Week 22

Husband Notes"You complain about not being able to eat alot...alot."

Labor signs: None

Stretch marks: None

Wedding ring: On

Maternity clothes:
I still need to place an order for those Target jeans and maybe some navy blue pants.

Diet: To go along with this week's Husband Observations, I feel like the baby is growing into my organs, and makes it difficult to eat a meal portion that I'm usually used to. As a result, I feel like I'm snacking all the time and never hungry.

Food cravings:
        • Sour candy

        • Apples
        • Grapes
        • Tomatoes in any form...especially grape tomatoes
        • CARBS - pasta, bread, pizza

Food aversions: No major aversions.

Exercise: Still a little under the weather, but back in the gym!

Sleep: I feel like I had some insomnia this week. I'm having trouble getting comfortable and sleeping through the night.

Miss anything in particular: I feel like my muscles are turning into mush. I'm actually excited to get back to doing a variety of exercises.

Mood: Better than last week...getting used to the drastic drop in temperature. Fall is hitting us like WHOA!

Looking forward to: Hanging out with Evan's dad and Cyndy this weekend.

Worst moment this week: THE INSOMNIA!

Best moment this week: Realizing that Evan calls the baby little Smoosh. He has been referring to me as Smooshi...

        • Apples
        • Grapes
        • Tomatoes in any form...especially grape tomatoes

Food aversions: No major aversions.

Exercise: Need to get back to walking next week...

Sleep: Getting better now that my nasal congestion is mostly under control.

Miss anything in particular: Being able to breathe like a normal person.

Mood: This cold is making me feel exhausted and irritable.

Looking forward to: Feeling 100% again.

Worst moment this week: Not being able to sleep very well because of the weather getting hot again and not being able to shake my cold. I look so exhausted in my Week 21 photo...makeup isn't even helping!

September 15, 2018

Sleep: I’m sleeping really well still. I think my uterus is finally out of my pelvic area and not competing with my bladder for space.
